Hokkaido Trip 14-15th March 2009 Part 1

omg.. im so lucky to have found the itinerary for my japan tour..
if not i will totally be unable to blog cuz i cant rmb all the jap names..

lemme start this posts..
omg it's gng to be a long post.

Day 1 & 2 (14th & 15th March 2009)
so on 14th night, my first aunt n i took a cab down to changi airport t2.
b4 getting on the taxi, i almost cried.
always laughed at xt when she say she cant go airport cuz she will cry when she say gdbye.
nw im the one who is tearing when saying gdbye to my parents. lol..
reached the airport n gathered with my second aunt n my cousin..
then ltr came my third aunt.
so we checked in n went into the departure hall for some shopping.
i bought my fave m&m's at $1 lesser than retail price.
i tot it will be so much cheaper cuz it's supposed to be duty free.
kept stopping them frm buying things.
they wan to buy esprit clothes n some scarfs
i had to keep reminding all these aunties tt we ought to only shop in japan.
pls dun spend all ur money in changi airport. lol.
so we decided to sit down n have some coffee.
bad move. ahahha. u'll find out y ltr..
cldnt find my jeanne lanvin perfume.
my auntie wanted to buy for me as bdae present.

checked in at arnd 10.35pm or 10.55pm
shit i cant rmb our flight timing.
is it 11.30pm or 11pm? nvm... who cares.
anyway, the security guard there asked me to stand in front of her n she proceeded to touch me.
gawd, i've nv been touched lyk this b4.
my whole body leh!!!!

she was asked to take off her boots. lol..

got up the plane..
saw sumbody familiar in the queue.
guess wad.. it's ken lim, the judge frm singapore idol.
he may be on a holiday with his family..
saw his wife n kids.

on the plane..





y was drinking coffee a bad move..
CUZ WE CANT SLP!!!!
luckily there's in flight entertainment on the plane..
so we watched movie all the way there.

had some snacks during the ride..
i lyk the biscuits they gave us..
but i bought the wrong one in japan.


then came the thing tt i've been waiting for..
IN-FLIGHT MEAL!!!!
i've been wanting to eat it for 10 yrs..
hahahh....... their bf is really gd.
i tink i really lyk sumptous bf!!!
ate bf while watching sunrise.

finally we reached narita airport.
WE R IN JAPAN!!!
just the tot of it makes me excited again.
forget abt everything i said abt japan not being my fave holiday destination.

waited for our luggage, gathered the whole tour grp..
then took a coach to haneda airport for our domestic flight to chitose, hokkaido!









reached haneda airport aft a 1 hr ride.
had some time to wander off to search for some food before the flight.



went into a restaurant tt was full hse.
tried to communicate using some simple english n hand movements asking them how long do we haf to wait.
but we left in the end.
went into another restaurant tt was empty.
no wonder, cuz the food was so so only.
my third auntie very funny.
she was ordering with some simple jap.
n when the obasan asked her smth she said "tak tak" which mins "no" in malay.
i was watching her with a confused expression.
aft the obasan left, i asked her was she speaking in malay.
she laughed n said she got confused. LOL.

went into the departure hall.
walked up n down.. saw some jap highsch student on a trip.
i luv their sch blazer!!
singapore nv have seasons so it'll be the same set of uniform for the number of yrs we study.
so boring!!

bought smth!! a bento!!
got really excited.
been wanting to eat this ever since i saw it being featured on a show.
it's covered with crab meat.
n i bought a bottle of coca cola.
the bottle is so different.
mini n cute.
my money was spent mostly on the vending machines.
but didnt get to see special ones..

jason asked for jap mei mei.
n i got him this..

finally got up the plane.
hahah. did we slp? yes....
i didnt wan to wake up at all.
finally reached chitose.
gathered our luggage n waited outside for our coach tt will serve as our transportation for the next 5 days.
the first thing i did is huff..
i lyk to see the smmoky effect. lol





on the coach.
we were determined to wear alot of colours on us since we will be in a foreign country. haha.
i look lyk a toadstool.

not the foam kind tt singapore has.






first stop: shiraoi ainu village (gawd.. how do u pronounce the first name?)
it's where one of japan's aboriginals live.
they made it into some kind of museum for pple to visit n understand how the pple live last time.

the lake tt was entirely frozen!!!

then we went into one of the huts where there will be a little performance.

this guy was quite funny.
our guide says tt he actually noes how to speak alot of languages but cuz of respect, he let the guides do the job instead.
there's performances lyk their instruments, baby lullaby, n harvest festivals.







then it was the museum..



very night at the museum.



amazed at this very steep road.

then we ended the day n went to our hotel - lake toya kanko hotel.

on the coach back to hotel.

our rm overlooks the lake toya.
it's impossible to find views lyk these in singapore.
mountains, hills, lake... n snow!!!



according to our guide, those footprints might be left by hokkaido fox or deer.
damn cool!!!!





impossible not to love these scenic views.


our room for the night.. tatami!


mini dressing table with free sekkisei products for us to try on.
we can buy the products in their shop downstairs.
sekkisei leh... the product tt is creating a rage here nw.

then there was a group dinner in the restaurant
it's set meal!






then then then it's the highlight..
we r gng down for some snow-and-me interaction! lol.
i didnt noe snow cld be so soft!

hahaha. my ear muffs.. so cute!



they decorated the lift lobby with these nice wood plates.




some serious snow fighting gng on.. hahah





bought ice cream frm seicomart.
their hokkaido milk ice cream.
super creamy.. im drooling alrdy.
one of the best part abt eating ice cream there is...
IT WUN MELT!!! hahahhaha.
ok.. this is a challenge.
we have to eat ice cream outside.
but it was super cool. lol.
oh.. n seicomart has a type of vitamin water tt i kept drinking thruout the whole journey...
i luv it.. lemoney taste.
i cant find it elsewhere.
not to mention in singapore too.

bought ramen bowl too.
ate in the room while watching some jap variety show. hahaha.
dun understand much but can figure some of wad they r saying.
cuz there's kanji. so we were laughing too.
one of the shows was showing the ng parts of some of the famous jap drama there.

didnt try out hot spring.
u haf to go down entirely naked.
no. im not tt open yet.

hahaha. slpt in one rm.
all 5 persons. haha.
scared lahhhhh!

n so we ended day 1 here.
our first night slping on tatami.

leaving in abt another 24 hrs.
i cant believe it.
im gng on a real holiday
although japan is lyk one of the last few destinations tt i really wan to go.
but i guess it's the excitement of gng on a holiday tt is keeping me so high nw. haha

yeah.. i've nv been enticed by japan b4.
i just didnt have any crave to go for a holiday there.
but i guess, this is better than nth!!

went for SIM open hse.
asked lots of qns
got our doubts cleared.
decided on UoB's management degree

went to meet georgina, lizhen n my sis aft tt.
bought baby gift for raymond.
it's a very cute mat for the baby to lie on n play n also can be folded into a tent for the baby to play in when he or she grow older.
so cute.
but it's really big
n carrying it arnd while shopping in orchard is no easy task.
hahah. didnt buy anything.
nth caught my eye.
hmm..
hope i can shop in hokkaido.

dunno which job shld i choose.
so confused!

hello pple.
sorry havent been updating.
borrowed 4 library bks n nw im super engrossed in them.

luggage almost packed.. abt 70% ready.
ready to fly!!!!!

sunday ate frog legs. which r lyk my faves.
begged my parents long time b4 they agreed to take away.

tues met my auntie at tampines mall.
ate cafe cartel which i tink is not nice.
then shopped arnd, bought a shorts at $19.
not bad a bargain.
then changed our money.
$4000 sg dollars into 252000 yen.
not a really gd rate but no choice.
yen money look lyk counterfeit notes. hah.
ate pu tien aft tt. yeah. nice!

today the two naughty boys came into my rm n started singing jingle bells loudly.
lol. then dae dae asked me "i wan to slp with u. wad do u tink?"
hah. where did he learn tt?
n they started getting really naughty.
all these b4 gng to sch.

converted some of edison's best mtv into ipod format.
i wan to watch them when im bored on the plane!

im sorr but i tink i will only update the rest of redang photos aft i come back.
i promise to come back safely! =D

ps: currently stuck on daniel powter!

he seriously sings nice songs!

had time to actually tink abt wad really happened.
really scary how pple can actually do things lyk tt.

n changed almost everyone's feeling abt each other.
well... gd luck in the future.
it makes me wonder how the other grp can manage to still believe him aft knowing abt wad he did.

attended brandon's birthday party today.
was real comical when brandon tried to hit open his pinata.
it's a gd exercise for him anyway.
