Universal Studios
Photos!!!
My thoughts on Universal Studios...
1) Some rides are not fully opened, better go next year instead.
2) Time management is important, since some shows have timings, thus, plan your schedule well. A pamphlet will be given to you stating all the show times.
3) Luck plays a part too. Meet the characters session seriously depends on whether you are at the right place at the right time. Luckily for us, all the characters we see, we were able to join the queue to take photos. I saw some kids crying because they were too late.
4) Photos with characters are limit to at most 2 photos per group. Please follow rules since there are so many people waiting to take too. I seen a father insisting on taking more photos that Princess Fiona got angry and the camera guy had to step in front of his camera and asked him to stop. His daughter was equally pai seh by his father's action.
5)Shrek 4-D show has a super long and boring movie before the actual ride. I don't understand the movie and the subtitle screen is like super far away from the movie screen. Pregnant or people who are afraid of motion can opt for motionless seats, just speak to the friendly park rangers.
6) I seriously hate the constant blowing of air from the back of the seat during Shrek 4-D movie. Super irritating. But the ride was fun. It wasn't made from a person's perspective though. It was more of like watching from the side.
7) Do explore the park as detailed as you can, you will find alot of nice places for photos.
8) Themed areas are so small, some only with one ride and that's all. Souvenir shops and eateries seem to dominate the whole park.
9) Do expect to find more sight-seeing than rides.
10) Don't be afraid to go up to the park rangers and ask them what is the ride, seems like not much is explained on the rides on the entrances.
11) Make sure you don't miss the Mummy Revenge!!!!!
12) It helps to bring extra clothes, especially when you are at Waterworld.
13) Food inside are expensive. One bottle of mineral water costs $2.50, one bottle of flavoured drink costs $3.
14) The park is not exactly big, so to catch up on rides you have to miss due to long queues are made easy.
15) 80% of park (all rides) closes at 7pm, the road leading up to entrance containing eateries and souvenirs shops opens till 9pm. Thus, play first, buy later!
16) In my opinion, worth it to buy the weekday ticket, finish all the rides and sight seeing, don't have to go back anymore.
17) They kept playing classic songs like "Accidentally In Love" from Shrek. I kept wanting to dance along to the songs. Shit!
Hope these tips help!
This is the best company event so far, second is forest adventure.
Although the work in the company sucks, but the people are nice, they are really fun loving.
Company events are a frequent thing too, once every 2 months.
They emphasise alot on team building.
And when it comes to having fun, these Koreans don't lose.
Audrey told me that not every company hold events this frequently.
I guess this will be one of the things I'll miss terribly when I leave
